7 Best Cars for American Students

Senior pupils and students of Northern America often have cars. Money Magazine tried to help to parents who are going to buy the car for their children for the first time. The professionals formed a list of 7 not expensive cars which they think best fit to the youth. The cars’ basic price doesn’t exceed $16 000. Besides this they are notable for high fuel economy, multifunctionality and safety.

The first place belongs to Dodge Caliber. Basic price – $13 425. It has top marks of NHTSA in impact safety tests. The antilock brake system is optional, front safety pillows are standard. Now they supply an automatic transmission only, but Chrysler Company promises to provide the mechanical one and more powerful engine in the future.

On the second place there’s Ford Focus. Its basic price is $13 450. It has good NHTSA marks in head-on and lateral impact tests. Lateral safety pillows, antilock and slippage brake systems are optional. It’s a pretty small car with high fuel economy.

The TOP-3 is ends with Honda Fit (from $13 850). High NHTSA in head-on impact tests; it hasn’t been tested for lateral impacts. Antilock brake system and front safety pillows are standard. This compact is not large but spaciousness and also economic.
